Laptop Times Two
Rindge, NH, August 20, 2009 – Ingalls Memorial Library is once again the recipient of a free laptop through the community donation program at Sequoya Technologies. The first one, donated in July of 2008, has been a big hit with library patrons.
"Last year's laptop is being used quite a bit as you can imagine, with people being on limited budgets, etc. and using our library really helps them out," said Diane Gardenour, Director. "Having another computer at our library has been wonderful."
The Town of Rindge, a Sequoya client since 2005, designated the Ingalls Memorial Library to receive computer hardware and support through Sequoya's unique community donation partnership program when it launched in 2007. This program allows each client of Sequoya to choose a local non-profit to receive a credit equal to 5% of the client's monthly IT support fees. In 2008 those credits designated by the Town of Rindge were used to buy a brand new HP laptop computer for patrons of the Rindge library. The Library's credits have continued to accrue, and the librarians have chosen to use the new credits for a second HP laptop, which was received and prepared at Sequoya's offices for delivery to the library on August 20th.
"We are very grateful that Sequoya Technologies offers this donation program," said Carlotta Pini, Rindge Town Administrator. "They are providing equipment that we wouldn't be able to purchase otherwise, in addition to offering excellent technical support to the Town."
